Coil Heaters

Micro Tubular Coil Heaters are small section heating units that can be molded to fit into a small space, allowing for high wattage in a compact space. These h eaters come in a variety of shapes and sizes, including round, square, and rectangular. They are built to function under the most demanding conditions while providing excellent heat transfer and dependability. They are also called Hot Runner Heater for its extensive use in Hot Runner Systems.

They were originally created for a very specialized use, differential heating of plastic injection nozzles, but have since proven to be invaluable in a wide range of applications. The use of heaters has benefited the aerospace, railway, chemical, metalworking, and food industries, glass and paper industries, automotive, packing, and medical industries, all of which have benefited from their wide range of possible shapes and their suitability for an endless number of applications.

Characteristics of Micro Tubular Coil Heaters

  • A large contact area leads to extremely high thermal conductivity towards the body that has to be heated.
  • Extremely extended life span due to optimal insulation
  • Heavy-duty construction ensures a high level of mechanical shock resistance.
  • Up to 750°C (1300°F) operation temperature
  • A very low mass means a very low thermic inertia.
  • A built-in thermocouple for high-resolution temperature measurement is available as an option (J-type standard; K-type on request)
  • The straight heater allows for an infinite number of potential shapes.
  • Heaters can be incorporated into castings made of brass or aluminum.
  • There are a total of -8 different cross sections available to meet any need.
  • Normally in stock, a wide choice of straight standard heaters ready for coiling/shaping

Applications of Micro Tubular Coil Heaters
